A short chronicle of our 14 week trek to becoming professional fire fighters. 46 recruits started together, all 46 finished together. I've never been more proud to be associated with such a strong group of men.
Did we have the Desire? The Drive? The Determination? The Discipline? The Dedication?...

its been months now & i still love this damn video aha, recently became a volunteer for terryville ct. not a huge or busy town but im getting some experience & a little bit closer to chasing after my dream of becoming a firefighter. madd props to use guys who are already made ff's, got a ton of respect for all of you

I go to rookie school next summer. or next fall still undecided on when im going to attend. And everytime i watch this video i get pumped! Thanks for sharing!

@ProSo91 Nope My Department has its own Training academy in hartford. Smaller departments like Bloomfield and windsor Go the the connecticut fire academy. There are a few more depts that go there just for training exercises but ive only been to the academy to but some Firefighting books to help me study.

@HFD97FIRE2 HI, I have a quick question and at first glance you may be my best chance of getting an answer. I live in Bloomfield and want to do firefighting, most likely volunteer for now since I'm a college student. My question is, is Fire Academy for volunteer firefighters as well, or just career firefighters?

shitty at the end, im a fireman in NY and the training we get kills that... not to mention the fact they just geared up without gloves on... we have to learn with gloves on 24/7.. shitty training

24/7? Really? Must be really hard to eat and wipe your ass with gloves on all the time. lol. Tell ya what, put some footage up, and I guarantee we'll find some mistakes in your superior training....
