  • is imasu only in the I form or it inclues you he she it we etc also

    1. -masu is an ending the makes Japanese verbs polite.

    2. imasu is the formal form of the verb "iru" and is used to describe animate things such as > (people/animals) The meaning of "imasu" is (to exist/ to be)

    *imasu is also added to the end of the -te form of verbs to indicate the progressive form such as aruite imasu = walking , hanashite imasu = talking.

    So -masu just makes verbs polite, and -imasu does more complex things. Hope you see the difference from my examples! :)
