My 4 baby rats opening their eyes, 13 days old, December 17

The babies were born on December 4. They are now 13 days old and they are beginning to open their eyes. The boys are Savvy (blue) and Davy Jones (siamese). The girls are Calypso (siamese) and Parlay (blue). They weigh between 45g and 47 g.

The babies just started opening their eyes on day 13. 3 of the babies have their eyes fully open and Davy Jones still have one eye that didn't open yet.

Now that they can see, they move around a lot more. They are still not very comofortable for walking around but that will come in one day or 2.

At this age, the babies are fully developed. They still feed on the mom's milk but will soon make their first attempt in eating solid food.

how do you tell the rats gender ataround that age or a bit older

@conrad161 I could sex the babies as young as a few hours old.  However, I checked again a few days later as we can do mistakes when sexing a baby that is only a few hours old. When looking at a baby, the gap between the does urethra and anus are much smaller than the gap between the penis and anus of the buck. It is difficult to see at first but it gets more obvious when the babies are as young as 4 days old.

I had two litters, intentional, born on the SAME NIGHT! lol, mine are about a day away from opening their eyes & seeing us for the first time, I'm so excited :) It was the most amazing feeling waking up to a cage full of squealing little beans!

I've got an orphaned rat that's about a week old and he's close to opening his eyes. i'm not sure if it's a boy or a girl so if u could make a video about how to tell the gender of one that would be great.

cute, ive got an orphaned rat, i dont know exactly what age it might be. its sorta like the ones on the video. but it dosnt move as much. ive got another 2 female rats wich havnt had a litter, but do they feed aswell? im a bit worried i feed it milk with warm water :S

can u help me, give me some advice please?
