beauty magazines promote low self esteem (pornography too)

so this is a short video about how being "Nice" has become an ineffective tactic and part of it has to do with our consumption of certain forms of mass media. Particularly beauty magazines and pornography and if we take a step back and analyze the circle we would realize that we are not passive consumers but rather active consumers and our consumption of products affects other people. particularly women. pornography and beauty magazines are not harmless, they lead directly to it being harder to win a woman over by being nice because they hurt her self esteem.

it is somewhat true that men select their mate pro-dominantly for physical characteristics, however this is not evil since it is an evolutionary approved tactic to generate healthy and robust offspring. So naturally women try to optimize them self in that respect.

Keep in mind beauty magazines them self are forced by the market to produce what sells.

There are some chubby beauty magazines, so why are they not successful ?

-> the root of the problem is education, the magazines are just a symptom.

This subject makes me sad. We don't hold woman as equals here on earth What a loss to our development as a species. Separating your self from any other human is a bad idea, working together we would get so much more done and in the process we might see each others true beauty. We should never let anyone tell us what beauty is, we are already pre-programed.
