MESSERSCHMITT PHOTOS FROM THE 1960s Part 1

Photos I took as a young owner when in my 20s.These may be especially of interest to fellow enthusiasts in the Messerschmit Owners Club. Photos include the roll out of my first car {second hand} at the age of 21 in 1961, various club runs of the Continentals the Bristol Scooter Club and the Messerschmitt Owners Club, Ken Piper racing his Tiger at Dyrham Park, Margaret Collins having personal service with her Tiger at Testwood Motors near Southampton who were the main importers, the start of the Scoot to Scotland in 1963 when I was co driver with Ray Knott when a team of three Tigers won an award competing against a team of Minis, service from the AA when I had a second puncture on a long run, a view of the interior of my Schmitt equiped with seat belts, car radio, rev counter and temperature guage in a centre console, a Tiger being served with fuel at 23p a gallon, and a MOC Rally at Wickstead Park in 1964.

The music comes from Youtubes own Audioswop collection. I beleive the artist is Medwyn Goodall. I have tried to find out the name of the music but audio swop doesnt appear to be currently working!

Youtube has been having connection problems recently but finally I have been able to find the name of the music track and it is TALISMAN by Medwyn Goodall.

After no less than seven attempts this video so far will not accept a soundtrack,. It still says Audio Swop in progress, by the title but so far no sound track gets added! no matter what i select so its going to be a case of silent movies- unless youtube suddenly adds the sound I selected!

Things were different back in the 1950s and 60s in the UK.Such vehicles were accepted as being normal.We only see them today thanks to those who find and restore them!
