Short demo of some basic functions of my Lemur DJ template.
I am using a Jazzmutant Lemur and Ableton Live, which are linked by APIMidi, standard MIDI mappings and some AU plugins.
Aditionally a custom c++ app does all the stuff that is impossible with Live only (waveform display, loop functions).
Goal of the project was/is to play without the laptop visible.
I am additionally using a Behringer BCR controller for the filters, effects and also for all the buttons... more about that in the next video.

Ableton Live plays the tracks, so yes... the BPM automatically match.
Can you specify what you mean with "to que"? "To queue"?

Also please note that some of the things is showed in the video are only possible using plugins that are not (yet) available (waveforms, library management...)

good shit mate, can ableton do all things like pitch controll and cueing, im debating about whether to get cdj's and a djm 800 or a lemur and ableton

In Ableton Live you set the tempo just after importing a song. Therefore pitch control is automatically done. Cueing is totally possible, however then you need of course an audio interface with more than 1 output. The whole thing is much more complicated to set up than CDJs, but gives you way more possibilities than a CD player. You can grab the Ableton demo and play around for free and see if you like it.
