True Story. Last week, I went on a spontaneous road trip with David to Williamsport, Pennsylvania. After a drink, David wanted to show me some sights from the city closest to his hometown. We ended up in a parking lot surrounded on three sides by an urban mural, much like the ones in Philadelphia. The mural depicted inspirational figures from throughout the area's history.
It was well after midnight and there was a lone man near a parked car talking on his cell phone near by. After a while I thought something shady may have been going on. As I said to David, "maybe we should go..." the man suddenly addressed us.
It turned out he was the artist, Michael Pilato, who created and maintains the murals, and in one of the buildings adjacent to the parking lot was his studio. He gave us a detailed tour of both the murals and his studio, where inside there was a piano.
I knew I had to play it when I saw it there in the corner. After a few songs, Michael asked if I could improv and I said "yes." He wanted to recite a spontaneous spoken word verse while I accompanied. So we did.

Actually, I don't think I'm qualified to be named the world's best BF. That position is already held by you.
This whole night was magic. I just wish we had a little bit of light; this would have looked great in silhouette. Usually I am a big critic of improv. poetry, but I really was into this. He started generally and became more specific... a piano without love. Baby, you brought it to life. I swear you tuned it up with your spell. "Live to Tell" was a classical epic in that room! I <3 U
