Tropical Storm Hermine drenched Central Texas. Shadow Cats sits on the banks of Brushy Creek and what usually is a thirty foot wide creek that we can wade across quickly became a raging river with over 12 inches of rain overnight. While all the animals and humans remained safe, it was quiet a terrifying night. The water came within feet of the Sanctuary before gradually receeding. And... yes! We have an evacuation game plan that we are very glad we did not have to implement!
All is well today...
