@sweetydeh This is the exact track of the solo.
This probably came from Moby's "Beat It (Moby's Sub Mix)", which started the song with the solo track in the left channel and a reverb/echo of it in the right channel. Listening on headphones, this sounds to me like it's in mono or the stereo channels are exactly the same...but that's just an opinion.
I still get chills hearing that high scream at the end of the solo.

How did you get this? It sounds like the exact track off the MJ recording?! I'd be curious to know what the discarded solo sounded. He did two takes.

Ummmm, yeah, Eddie DID play this live once. In Dallas. 1985. I went to both concerts (MJ at Texas Stadium, Van Halen at Reunion Arena.)
