but what if im a $30 budget film maker

This is very true. Security guards suck.

That is a terrific point. I was filming a music video once and used the top of a busy hospital parking ramp for the shoot. A rentacop on an adjascent roof got on his radio and in moments a guy came up asking what was going on. No mention of the gun, though.
So we went to the less-busy mall parking ramp and got the rest of the footage. Synced together nicely. But fuck yeah - I'd never do that again with a gun, be it realistic looking or not.

absolutely brilliant

I've actually never ran into trouble with pointing around fake guns for my own movie. where i live just about everyone already knows me and are used to me filming and whenever the police stop by it's only to ask how my movie is coming along so far. I'm lucky in that respect.

lol i thought it before i see this video!!!
i thought that people would film something without permision and the guard or police would chase them, and they would run with the cameras and mics for their lives :D

I loved this - It's just SOOOO staged but still really funny! I'm a 0-budget filmmaker and so use this technique all the time...
GET AWAY FROM ME! SOD OFF!

LOL, this looks familiar :o)
We are having to sneak in places and secretly film almost everywhere (Shops, cafe's, pubs, etc).
