  • Professional installers use handheld routers on the jobsite everyday with Corian and other solid-surface materials. However these contractors are trained in the unique methods required for cutting and milling of these solid-surface materials. There are special cutters that are designed to be used with these materials available from many contractor supply companies. There should be information on the internet for choosing cutters and router operations posted on the solidsurface material websites.

  • Could you cut Corian with a plunging handheld router? I am making 2 projects with Corian at the moment and have never worked with it before. I am making a lap steel guitar and a cutting board with grooved edges.
