京剧贵妃醉酒 Peking Opera -- Drunken Concubine -- Oriental Princess 楊貴妃

【杨玉环】(唱四平调)海岛冰轮初转腾,见玉兔,玉兔又早东升。
那冰轮离海岛,乾坤分外明。皓月当空,恰便似嫦娥离月宫,奴似嫦娥离月宫。

  • She's so beautiful, such grace and poise.

  • This pasty-faced Chinese girl is hot!

  • 真好听啊,听着真爽。如沐浴春风般的爽。

  • @creatornat The lady in this opera is called Yang Yuhuan (Gui Fei), one of the concubines of an Emperor, and she's also one of top 4 beauties in Chinese history. One day, she and the Emperor had a date for wine tasting in a garden of the palace. However the emperor didn't show up, but to spend time with another concubine. Yang felt hurt deeply and began drinking alone. In this video, she was drunk, and singing to the moon, wishing herself flying up there as Chang Er (a fairy living on moon).

  • Does anyone who speaks the language know in general, what this character's song is about? Thanks in advance to whomever helps. :)

  • It also can tell people a lot Chinese history which they can not learn from this language, but with only watch one or two videos, translated into their own languages, they all can give them the most intuitive and effective knowledge of that. :)

  • If only Beijing opera also can be translated into English, it will have more massive influence than all other operas. :) Cause a lot of smart people actually love it a lot, due to it has high voice and design quality, also can teach people Chinese martial art the basic forms, and can relax a lot with it, it is the best art entertainment. :)

  • That is also why I love Chang Er and her life on the moon.As an angle of Chinese legendary fairy tale--but we did not make so much movie for them though, this can effectively enhance the national image and self esteem too. :) Always be Me is the final way we can get our highest life style too. Do what we want and help we needed.:) Cause we also can not depend on anyone. :) Just love the name a lot. It is a truth in the world. :)

  • Chang Er means--always be Me. :) Our ancestor is so smart. :) And Wu Gang means --be strong. :) Hou Yi means---maybe we in the future need to have a wing on our back ? Need check dictionary what Yi means then, if this is not a fairy tale, I will be so pround he can shot 9 suns down to save his people. :)
