@chenshiwei the movie is from 2002,there were not many carbon frames back then. you can hear eddy say they make 5-10% steel frames and the rest aluminum and titanium ,so no carbon in 2002.
Lance Armstrong rode a Litespeed frame that was painted as a Caloi for a TT in the tour. To say that Lance didn't use a Merckx in 92, 93, 96 and some other years would be wrong. He rode many bikes but during those years above he was usually on the Motorola Merckx, usually a MX Leader. Often for time trials, something special is used because of the aerodynamics.
hampsten didnt ride a merckx when he rode the giro? and i think armstrong rode a light speed not a merckx. still....i love merckx bikes totally awesome just like eddy himself

You are part right. Litespeed made frames for Merckx (I have one) used by the Motorola team with Hampsten & Lance early in his career.
