  • nice man! so you embedded the sound file inside the recording? or how you did it ?

  • @tucubogdan - This was 4yrs ago now! I believe I used Vegas Pro and just layered the audio file against the video file in the timeline. Stretching the audio file as necessary to sync the voice. The original camera audio was muted. Thanks for watching.

  • I have an Olympus lavalier that works well with these units- about $25. Also Rode Videomic works well.

  • By the way, both those accounts are me :P

Thanks for the help. Used my recorder for the first time today. Went very well at a Tech show! :)

  • Thanks very much mate - thats what I was hoping you would say! That saves me £50 getting a good tie clip mic!

    Thanks!

  • Hmm, I think maybe they were, but for what I have used them I had no problems. I have since also bought a pro mike to use on some narrative work.

  • By chance, were they the dirt cheep type?

  • I'm no expert on mikes. I just bought a couple off ebay and they seem fine. I guess you get what you pay for. I can't recall now, but doesn't one come with the DVR? Anyway, you'll find that you can even put the mike under your shirt and it will pick up fine. This will prevent wind noise.

  • Ah, thanks (this is my other account) - That's something I'll bear in mind when my WS320 comes in a few days. Just got one of Ebay for £30 when its £110 new so I'm pretty happy with that!

Could you recommend a good lapel mic to go with this unit, because thats something I'll need to look into buying.

    Thanks!
