@tretaraska2008 That's not always true. A relative who was a Police Officer on duty riding the PD's H-D crashed into a truck that ran a red light. That that Motor Officer relied upon their training & years of experience to lessen immenant impact while hanging onto the H-D. He did not go flying off the bike. Instead the bike glanced off the truck and went skidding nearly 200 ft. with him still on it, The end result was his butt cheeck & thigh suffered severe roadrash & he survived the crash.

@hackmattr While it only will protect in front impacts and most likely in a very narrow speed range; it still is a safety device. If it prevents your grandpa on his goldwing from injuring himself in an accident, is it still a stupid idea?

what's the point if the driver will be launched in the air.....a bike does not stay in that position before an accident....i can't believe it people actually buy this crap

I've been in a motorcycle crash and I will say this is a very good thing. Had this been on my old motorcycle I would have not been catapulted off the front end and continued at 45 mph down a gravel shoulder and then stopping abruptly when I met up with a stone mailbox. I give every ounce of credit that Honda took the time to put this system on a motorcycle. It is not a get out of jail free card for failing to learn how to drive a motorcycle correctly and using common sense.
