@TheAlienesque People who speak of rain instead of precipitation are not queers. Any kilt is still a skirt. What hangs from waist & encloses legs together in one tube is a skirt there is no escape from that fact. If Salimi of Iran with a 573 pound overhead lift tells a 145 pound Scot his kilt is a skirt, Salimi is gonna get knocked down? You can't assault someone for speaking facts, nor for holding view conflicting with yours. To the open minded I suggest a better garment--the fustanella.

@TheAlienesque You obviously have nothing intelligent to say on here. Your narrow minded, homophobic comments are idiotic pointless and I would be very surprised if you are not just a silly teenager with nothing better to do than try to stir people up because you have nothing better to do with your life. That's me signing out on this subject.

@TheAlienesque Definition in dictionary: Kilt: –noun
1. any short, pleated skirt, especially a tartan wraparound, as that worn by men in the Scottish Highlands.
A Utilikilt is a kilt, hence the name UtiliKILT): a non tartan, American pleated wraparound. A Scottish kilt is a kilt. A Scottish tartan pleated wraparound. One made of wool and is tartan. One made of cotton and is not tartan.

@TheAlienesque A "real kilt" is still a tartan skirt. Does it matter if anyone questions my sexuality? My wife and I know I am straight. It really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks at all. Nobody questions a woman's sexuality when she wears jeans and doc Martens boots. I have had too many compliments from women regarding my Utilikilts to worry about the homophobic rantings of a few narrow minded socially programmed, sheep. Baa. :-) THINK OUTSIDE THE BOXERS.

@TheAlienesque I spent a week driving around Scotland and saw one kilt. Seen loads of guys in the States wearing Utilikilts.

@TheAlienesque I think you will find most "queers" wear jeans, which is what I assume you wear? (correct me if I am wrong). Jeans are fine if you are hung like a mouse. Anything bigger and they are fucking uncomfortable.
NOTHING BEATS THE FREEDOM OF UTILIKILTS!!!

@TheAlienesque tartan even. typo.

@TheAlienesque Real kilts are tarten skirts. Utilikilts are cotton skirts. If you care 1% that some narrow minded fool will call you a poof for being comfortable, don't wear one. If like me, you don't give a fuck what anyone thinks, enjoy the freedom. I am married and straight with kids by the way. Women and gay men wear jeans. Does that then mean you must be a poof if you enjoy wearing jeans? lol.

@TheAlienesque In which way am I wrong? A Utilikilt is not a dress. It is a kilt, or man skirt, just as a traditional kilt is a kilt or a man skirt. You can call a hat by as many fancy names as you like, but it is still a hat. LOL. And I love my skirts with pockets. They rock!!! Long live Utilikilts!!!
What is a "real kilt? Are you referring to those itchy woolen tarten garments with no pockets? lol.
I have Scottish blood and NOTHING beats the survival utilikilt, loaded with handy pockets, 100% cotton, cool and the most damn comfortable thing I have ever worn ever!!! Doesn't need ironing or dry cleaning and you don't have to be at a wedding or a party to wear it.
Utilikilt wins this one in my opinion.... however, this is only my opinion from someone who prefers comfort over tradition.

I'm of Scottish decent and although I like tradition, I prefer utility style kilts. Far more comfortable, far more useful, much easier to maintain, a hell of a lot cheaper and they can easily be worn for any occasion.
