  • I hope you get well soon. Thanks for the info about the Fujan hammer. I'm still interested to know about the mute you were using though. Currently, I'm only familiar with rubber wedge mutes and the long felt mutes. Yours looked like some sort of clamp. I've seen a clamp style, or tweezer style, but they seem much longer that what you are using in the video.

  • thanks I think it will take some days before I recover. About the mute. I dont know much about them. At school were I learned to tune they had them and after I start to work at a company I ordered them. I use 1 kind of mute. It's made of rubber , color black, small size. I also have bigger ones that I use for the bass for more grip.

  • What kind of mute are you using? It looks like a clamp of some sort. I've found a few offered online, but they are 8" long. Yours doesn't seem that long. Looks like a good way to avoid retrieving wedge mutes that have fallen. Also, what program are you using on the pda? I've heard that electronic tuners can save your ears since you don't have to strike the keys so hard. Any comment on that idea? Lastly, when's the next performance video coming out? Really enjoy the boogie woogie.

  • Im using the Fujan tuning hammer. I like it a lot because of the carbon fiber. I had to borrow the PDA from someone because normaly I tune with my ears but I felt a bit sick that day and my ears weren't doing their job proper. When I tune I hit the keys hard because I also use protectionplugs for my ears. I dont want to get def at the age of 40 :)

I dont know when Im going to put a video online again because Im sick since last sunday so I dont know how long it will take for me to recover :)

  • depends on cond.

  • Hi, do u think this is a great piano? a dealer offer me USD$2.8k for this. refurbished. wonder if it worth or not :3

  • I recognize all that inharmonicity in the midrange...ouch! I have a U7 that I bought in the late 70's. I learned tuning on it,and I have always tuned it myself...nobody else.

Now that I listen and watch some other vids of somebody tuning a grand,it sounds so different! And so much better I have to say! hehehe

  • yes it a great tuning hammer because of the carbon fiber

  • I like it a lot. Its so light. Moving from pin to pin go's so smooth and I can feel the difference between a couple of monts with my shoulder. When I hold my old yamaha tuning hammer I can feel the difference, anyway I was pulling the bass up first because it was so low , I did that by ear
