one more question...when you film through the eyepiece you get additional magnification you wouldn't be able to get with just a t adapter set up right?

Yes, as much as the camera zoom will allow.

so you're just filming through the eyepiece? you aren't using a t adapter set up where you take they eyepiece off the microscope and the lens off the camera and let the camera use the microscope's objective lens as it's own?

what kind of microscope and what magnification is this? what is that little arrow thing? is there a way to film without it being there?

Hi. It's a Celestron, exact model is 44106. I used magnification of 40x, 100x, to 400x for this.
That little arrow is there to point things out, but it really just gets in my way. Eventually I pried it out of my eyepiece by force.
