fagels is by far my fave translator. i LOVe the iliad. i'm not really an odyssey fan though, odysseus just kind of pisses me off most of the time.

yay fagels! i read his iliad for a course last summer -- and it was far less intimidating than the illustrated version in my english text book in 9th grade. and i would start with the iliad -- b/c it lays the groundwork for the odyssey as well as for the aeneid. if you wanted to go there.
