Made at CalArts in 1991. It consists entirely of sand, silhouetted on top of a light box, animated frame by frame under the camera. There are some jerky cuts in the animation because I shot it over the course of a few days.
The song is by Robyn Hitchcock and the Egyptians, off their "Element of Light" CD. It is not an official music video.
Forcor what youve done is incredible-and I love how it was made in 1991-before all the 3d shit took over. Its a thing of beauty. I was thirteen when you did the video and clearly younger when the song came out but you know-the black crow knows.

Amazing animation. Interesting that this song was not on the original LP release from 1986 but an add-on to the CD release a few years later. It's one of his best songs ever and an excellent choice for this film. Well done on all accounts.
