Mazak's Hyper Quadrex 200MSY's twin spindles and twin turrets (upper/lower) greatly simplify processing for complex parts. Both turrets offer milling and Y-axis as standard, and Hyper Quadrex is superior to its competition in the areas of HP, torque, bar capacity, and spindle speeds.

  • what a bitch it would be to set up. imagine if you blew a threading insert and parts 1 and 2 didnt match up. bang..

  • @photocat100 - Certainly a possibility...This was our demo at IMTS 2008. We wanted to show customers mainly how the machine can run complete sets of assemblies for true, just-in-time production. After the demo, we installed a bulb, some springs, and batteries, and handed the functioning flashlight to someone in the crowd. It was a big hit. --Steve

  • We had a whole plant full of Mazak CNCs in my last job. It wasn't the machines fault, but occasionally an operator would set a tool up wrong, enter the wrong tool offset or some other bone head reason. We had some spectacular wrecks. I gotta hand it to Mazak though. The machines were very robust and handled most of the wrecks with no problem. A couple times though, we had machines down for weeks! Bent spindle shafts and all manner of hell. Mazak took care of us everytime with emergency service

  • @addymachinery What's a ballpark figure for a unit like this? Or integrex j-200, I've been searching for any page listing prices and have not found anything. Just trying to figure out how many aluminum can I'm away from recycling to cash in on my new mazak.

  • amchine of the months

  • @photocat100

If that happened during actual production the machine would had stopped and broadcast a voice message to check the machine.

  • @lexichronicle2

That's heat treatment marks probably from the jaws being hardened mate.

  • At 2:50, the jaws on the second spindle seem to have heat discolouration on their surface. Is that heat being transmitted from the work piece when it's running without coolant?

Nice demo anyway, free torch! :D

My GCSE DT project was a torch, made from a bit of pipe scrap my neighbour had given me, cleaned up on the lathe at school. Even then, I wasn't allowed to do most of it. Health and Safety means machine tools are FAR too dangerous for most classroom work now. What a shame hey?

  • muito boa performace, mazaz sem comentarios..........

  • holy crap. this is the future of maching... almost scary how many things it can do and all at once

  • what is the title of the start song?
