  • The original was on the All Hallow's EP from '99, I think. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, Offspring found AFI and loved their mix of classic Bay Area hardcore and horror punk, plus they finally found another band who used "whoa" as much as they did. So Dexter put them on his label, Nitro, and then did this cover in about 2001 (or thereabouts, I'm not sure) to help sell records and get AFI more mainstream exposure. I personally adore both bands.

  • This pain never farts! 1:26

  • Call me crazy, but I actually think this is one of the few cases, like Common People, where the cover is superior to the original.

  • I personally prefer the original AFI song, but I didn't know The Offspring was one of those bands that knew AFI back then o_o Woah. That makes me respect them. ('Cus I'm not a big Offspring fan, sadly)

  • cali hardcore '99 bitches

  • i think given the dark nature of the lyrics it should be fvcking obvious

  • @LyanosOnTheHombre what a jackass. all hallows was released a year before me myself and irene even came out.

  • why does it sound like they recorded the vocals in a bathroom?
