FLORENCE, Ky. (Perry Schaible) -- Perry Schaible is watching weather conditions get worse in Florence. She says from 6:30 a.m. until 7 a.m., the wind picked up and the temperatures went down. Robert Richardson, a truck driver stopping at the travel center warns drivers to stay calm and slow down. Biggest worry is other drivers, the ones that don't know how to drive on it and not used to driving on it. I mean, I've seen trucks going 60 to 70 miles an hour on this and wipe out, slide straight to the curb, median. You've got to pay close attention to that.Richardson also says pay attention to tractor-trailers, they can't stop as quickly as cars. He says those with 4-wheel drive tend to drive too fast in these conditions. Also, Kenton County Schools was out of calamity days before Tuesday's snow. It will now have to add a day of school to the end of the school year.
