These comments are the only time I've ever seen Ofra fans split between English and Hebrew versions. Shakira fans, in my experience, are constantly torn between whether she is better in her native Spanish than English, so seeing the same go for Ofra with Hebrew is interesting.
I personally love Desert Wind, it's fun Mid-East pop. Nothing wrong with that.
About the Turkey video... how many songs from that do we have?

this is the best version of the song! i didnt pay much attention to it in Desert Wind, but it sounds great here. if only there's one with better audio quality.

This is so much better in Hebrew...thank you so much for posting. I would never have seen this otherwise.

T_T I wish the sound was better so I can actually understand what she was singing.. oh well. Love it!

beautiful song
The Montreux Jazz Festival version in English is good - with the same band as the Turkey89 vid, tho' I suspect that her voice was studio-redubbed on CD. Good jazz keyboard break by Haim Cotton. I totally agree with the DVD comment - let the rest of the world see her performances in studio quality. But for the internet, other Ofra fans, & contributors to YouTube, I would not have seen Ofra's TV Show performances. She was one of the singing wonders of the world.

I like this version of Taw Shi a lot better than the one on the "Desert Wind" soundtrack. The faster tempo, Hebrew Lyrics and jazz-type accompaniments suit this song much better. It's a pity that I can't get this version of it on a CD anywhere. If I could, I'd certainly buy it.
