I finally remembered what this song brings out of the attic of memory: Rumours Bar in Falmouth, 27th November, 1992. Someone out there may remember the occasion!

Carolholm, you are dead right. There is no combination under Heaven greater than a Dave Mallett song and Liam Clancy to sing it. Think of this, or The Painter, for example.
