i love the background music...tempted to put on a baro't-saya and walk along the rice fields....and listen to sweet sound created by the bamboo trees/leaves as it sway and dances with the Hanging (wind)Amihan in the late afternoon.....hmmmm it's like experiencing a piece of what they called PARAISO....

Indeed, there is a lot of ancient pottery brought to the country by traders, the pottery subject of my video is a different case, that of the trades coming to the Philippines. The family that still owns the pottery introduced their technique in Vigan sometime in the 18th Century,

It is a Sapnish classic, Asturias by Albeniz in a guitar version. You may find a lot of renditions of the piece in Youtube also. By the way, not coincidentally, I hail from the Spanish province.

I don't know Vigan that well, but RG Jars is southwest of Plaza Salcedo almost due west of the new public market.

It's beyond me how in Asia they can do pottery with their hands so far from the center of their bodies and not break their back.

Thanks for your comment, it is gratifying knowing that i get some viewers and that they are interested enough to comment. I neve thought on the angle of back straining while throwing clay, intrigued as I am, I'd like to se some views on it.
