Hey man I never got a chance to say thanks for making this rig! I really like it and the amount of control you give the animator is much appreciated. I animated a run cycle with it a few months ago.
@warrensloper I wholeheartedly agree. Nearly all quadrupedal animal's knees are level with their ribcage or belly. It is difficult to get a walk that looks natural (or comfortable for the animal) when the biometrics are off. The only exceptions I've noticed (knees below the belly: a few sauropod species) have been in a few animals with tremendous mass, and those animals have pillarlike (straight up and down) limbs, and shorter back legs than fore.
The thing that looks weird to me is the back legs. They seem sooo bent, like he's crouching with just his hind quarters.
I think this problem, links back to the model. The person who modeled this probably didn't know about, or didn't care about how normal dog legs work. Check this out to see what i mean

Looks kinda like a mudbox creation. What modelling program did you use? Also, is that Blinn shader material?
