This is a test of our new faraday cage. It is 10'x10'x10' and designed for one of our smaller Tesla coils. It was constructed in order to prevent DMX lighting from being interfered with by the Tesla coils. The DMX cables in this video are on the ground, within 6 feet of the Tesla coil. It would normally not be possible to control the lighting while set up in this proximity.

The Faraday cage is hard to see in this video, but that is the point. It was constructed with .5" copper tubing, and covered with a hand soldered mesh of 24awg brass wire. This cage has over 4000 hand made solder connections.

  • your neighbors must love you.

  • looks fantastic. i can' imagine it'll travel well, but if you can transport giant Tesla coils you can certainly transport a mesh cage! Fantastic job, can't wait to see what kind of lighting you guys have in mind!
