@choppyhover i think its easier if you are used to flying flight simulators
-
an I am still hovering around ;-) but one day I will be there ;-) Great flying though :-))

the dizziness goes away once you want to go further ..
fpv is awesome

This 2nd trak was on the radio today & immediately i was flying this FPV vid lol

the first song was very fitting (: gave me kinda floating feeling xD

I suppose this system only works as long as you have an horizon??

Great flight and nive video, thanks for sharing it.

I like it real, real high, like 10,000 feet. The higher, the better. :-))

Great vid. Great 1st song. Who is the artist?
I have only started with FPV and I am getting rather dizzy flying it, Did this happen to you and how long before you get use to it?

I did find it very disorientating in the begining (people say it looks very easy but trust me it aint) the dizzyness does go after a few flights, cant say how many it was a gradual thing. I see some people fly FPV standing up. I think that would make me fall over so I always bring a seat. All I can say is it will get easier with every flight.

A 5 Star job mate.. I have all the FPV gear, as yet to be fitted to my 500.
I too have been contemplating wether to go full FPV for take-off & landing or transitioning.
I'm considering a 2nd 'landing' cam, which I can select from my 9Ch radio, this cam fitted underneath to spot the ground, this 'may' work or use a circular bubble level mounted just in front of cam but low down, then use 45 deg clear perspex in front of lens, a kinda headup display, as landing in FPV knowing your level is handy

A second cam! hmm, I would be interested to see how it works out. I have thought of putting a servo onboard and switching it to move the cam to one of two preset positions. Although, now I have moved one of the big battery packs from in front of the camera view, I am managing to land by FPV quite well. One word of warning for you... "TIME".
make sure you bring it in before the power is gone. I have been forced to rip the goggles from my face and perform an auto-rotation landing twice.

Have you tried to land with goggles on?
I am flying heli about 1.5 years and FPV plane about 6mounts, but I was too chicken to try the heli with FPV because of FPV-nonFPV transition.
I am just curios which is easier to do: transition or landing with goggles?

I still haven't got the balls to land with the goggles yet but I think it would be alot easier to land with the goggles after a few practices. I think it would be a little harder for me because I have mounted the camera inside the cockpit and can not see the ground behind the battery.
I am thinking of getting a plane for FPV cos you can get cool gadgets like auto-pilot for when it goes out of range. Also head tracking is better suited for planes than heli's.
