As always, this finale tune played by the Porcupine Ragtime Ensemble (with guests), is Porcupine Rag by Charles L. Johnson. It's played at a bit of a quicker tempo than they did last year! I missed the finale concert entirely this year, as I was attending the impromptu second half of Brad Kay's seminar on the men who influenced George Gershwin, and the revelation of the only known recording of Luckey Roberts' voice.

Yes, I would love to have taken in Brad's seminar also, but the Ragtime dancing won out this time. I'm glad you get to see a bit of this since you can't be in two places at the same time. I have the same problem!

Yeah, I didn't see much of the bands this year, but I know you love the dancers, so I'm sure I'll see plenty of it on your videos! As I write this, I am uploading the Raspberry Jam Band's performance of my "Tattle-Tale Rag" though. I wouldn't have missed that for the world! What a thrill to hear my music played by a band, and to see people dancing to it!
