Yes, the guitar is an Ibanez, Artcore series. It looks like the AK95 model, which has a spruce top instead of maple, a sharp-edged horn on the cutout, and a rosewood bridge instead of metal. The kid likes to shuffle those blues, and puts in a IV-ivdim- I - VI - ii - V turnaround to boot!

This is my favorite "song" to play as well, and I'm dang-near 30! The funnier thing is that he has a much better grasp on the concept than I.

Thats great for his age, its fun to play around with the blues, but DON'T forget to learn the simple "folk type" basics. Blues history gets very complicated once you get far into it.. trust me *sigh*

He plays what he likes and what he likes is the blues. I'm sure he will learn some folk music too when he is interested in it.
He's actually improvising the song by gluing together bits he's learned in different places or made up by himself.
