Also in response to byer561, part of having a liberal arts education is having your hands in all aspects of life. One thing that sets me apart as a Messiah College student is having the chance to be well-rounded and understanding of various cultures and beliefs, even if they differ from my own. Allowing Frances Fox Piven to speak was a fantastic idea. We were given the opportunity to engage in open discussion about our current political and economic climate.

Actually the Messiah College professors are truly experts in their fields and rather accommodating if you get to know them. Of course there are exceptions, but that is the case with any public or private institution. If you are looking for rigorous academics and a chance to be challenged in your faith, I think Messiah is a great place for growth.
