http://janosn.com Prince Feisal and his Arab Army make their victorious entrance into Damascus on October 3rd, 1918. In return for supporting the Allies, Feisal expects to rule over an independent Arab Republic stretching from the Persian Gulf to the Mediterranean including Palestine, Syria and Lebanon. General Allenby meets with Feisal and Colonel Lawrence, breaking the news that, under previous arrangements, France is to rule in Syria and Lebanon while Britain will take charge of Palestine, where a Jewish homeland will be guaranteed. Predictably, Feisal objects strongly, but to no avail; he is vastly outnumbered.
@saintsedona, agree. Arabs' tribe culture is a fragment-oriented culture which make Arabs very near signted. Their so called "nationalist" is seperatist, their independent from Ottoman is the main cause of the bitter fruit they are eating. Arab culture has this poiseness of betrayal, they are now betrayal each others, look at Arab League, it is betraying l Libyia. Although individually, Arab is smart, but as a group, Arab is very immatured people. As a Chinese, I am very dissappointed with them

The Arab betrayal and its consequences...I wonder how do Arabs feels today for their betrayal nearly 100 years ago? They back-stabbed Ottomans with the aid and provocation of British and then British handed Palestine to Israelis, today whose fault is Nakba? If they never cheated Ottomans in WWI maybe today Palestinians would still have their homeland...
