what in the world was that  guys in there 40s and 50s are like why why you do this in the film why you do that go make your own sci franchise i would rather have three new starwars movies that are bad then have nothing at all clone wars anime is Good stuff whats up with these people???

I want the original theatrical versions 1977 1980 1983 on DVD without his finger fiddling of the picture and sound. I know that greedy double triple chin as 70mm six-track Dolby stereo prints stashed under his bed!

I think to define my argument, it is not necessarily the movies that are overrated, it is Lucas. In the 70's and 80's he was on fire, but look at the crap hes done since. Howard the Duck, The Star Wars prequels, Indian Jones and the Kingdom of the Terrible CGI...

Speilberg, Scorsese, Mann, etc etc have all had minor misteps, but Lucas has mistepped for 2 decades.

I'm only 22, and I love the OT. Doesn't anyone remember the Special Edition theatrical release in 1997? It was a HUGE big deal, and only 2 years before "The Phantom Menace" came out.

being 19 I feel the need to defend my demographic and say I was raised on the original trilogy and will never stop loving it

Being 24 myself I never thought the prequel movies sucked they just don't have the timeless nature that the original trilogy has.
And considering I grew up watching the original films on VHS I can hardly claim to have grown up on the prequels.

I dont think they all suck, I just think for me (and maybe for you) the older movies are very good, but not like 'top greatest movie ever' like they are for my dads generation.
