I think what it all comes down to is that George is a great creative collaborator when there are those who can challenge him, but he develops way to much of a god complex when he has free reign.

George Lucas didn't rape my childhood. He just created some extremely poor films that annoyed my adulthood, and then refused to release the original versions of some of my favorite films.
