Hey yall the neighbors are going away for 6 days Wednesday morning and I will be going up and milking there goats and tending them! How exciting! My brother-in-law has Saanen and Nubian goats. They are great. I helped out last year with milking. It does get tiring!

@generalgene007 I tell you it is interesting. It is getting much easier each time I do it. But 3 goats is tiring. But I like it, kinda want my own now....

@mmlrc6atgmailcom it got a special taist to it and look but it melsts in your mouth its soo good good luck with that :) my dad worked as a milker on a farm when i was younger was fun to try and yer its hard to get it right but ones you do its a reward in it self :)

@DeathToAllHamsters I have never ate it I don't think. If I end up with some extra milk then I might try a batch of soft cheese which is a cottage cheese. Ummm this might be interesting, tonight at 6pm central standard think of me I will be starting this project of milking these goats on my own with the help of my daughter, and it is the 1st time ever...Well with the exception of the last 2 nights of training. But the owners were there and now they are gone....Misty

goat chees is so good :) just hard to get the real good stuff here hehe never had home made goat chees might have to see if i cant find some hehe :)

@stymye Thank yo, I might try to make some soft cheese if I end up with extra milk. Oh it is soooo hot and humid...With no ac either...Just let the children play in the creek today while getting sand and then we came back to the house and I sprayed them down with the garden hose to wash the sand off, and Mountainman got ahold of the hose and sprayed me down, it was sooo cold but felt sooo good when he was done....
