"all of the U.S. Presidents" last i checked but there have been a number of presidents that did the opposite of making a "small contribution", quite a fue of them set us back by a large amount.

Here is my short list of NON-atheists that have made a small contribution to humanity. I realize most of these people don't compare to the likes of Gervais and Penn but bear with me. Here we go:

Mozart, Bach, Brahms, Beethoven, all of the U.S. Presidents, Martin Luther King Jr. Rosa Parks, Einstein, Oppenheimer, all U.S. astronauts, Al Gore, Michelangelo, Galileo, Kierkegaard, Socrates, Brahe, Newton, Pythagoras, I know what you atheists are thinking "what a bunch of dummies"

@beanerzisdumb I know what you mean about the applause, its fucking annoying. but I think that its more a fault with the shows directors. Bill Maher when he's not on his show is much more fluid, funnier and better, I get the impression that some marketing wanker thinks the audience needs short anecdotes and a live audience reminder of when to laugh.

Bill Maher is so pathetic he has to wait everytime he says anything no matter how unimpressive it is for an applause and wont continue until he gets one because his stupid self has to believe that whatever he says is right. I'm not a christian but this is just an example of what an immature host he is. I agree with the general idea of what he's saying as most people watching this video who have experienced 'evangelistic america' do, but saying going to war with terror is repaying evil with evil.

Atheism is not a positive statement, it simply means a lack of belief in gods. No atheist claims to KNOW there is no god because god is an unfalsifiable hypothesis therefore the burden of proof is on the theist claiming there is a god
