The Mothers - Drives me Wild - '80s Aussie Indie band

Aussie band " The MOTHERS " played around Sydney pubs and clubs in the Mid '80s around the same time as other high energy bands like the Hard Ons, Mass Appeal, ROCKS, Spunk bubbles etc remember being floored by their energy after seeing them at the Trade Union Club in '87, Fiona later become the lead singer of Def Fx.

@Fionahome, I still have this and the 12in. I was in Sydney in the late 80s I stayed mostly with Ray Ahn and at Blackie and Graham's house (under their pool table haha). I got to see and hang with a lot of cool bands, Hard-ons who I had become friends with in NY, as well as Thrust, Fester Fanatics, Massappeal, Asylum and more. I had really wanted to see your band and the Hellmenn, but I believe Mothers had already broken up. Anyway, thanks for the music and good luck to you.

Yeah fuck! I remember the 'Trade Union Club' gig as well. I also remember extremely well having 2 ex-members playing in The Mothers. Rick Alam and Luke 'Haute Coiture' Coleman. Rick and I continue on in 'Lollipop Sugar'.

Loved these guys. Saw them at Trade Union with The Rocks in the mid 80s.

Recently met the drummer Rick playing in punk band now called Lollipop Sugar!!!!!
