Here is a small presentation behind the scenes of Threads of Destiny, to give you an inside look in creating the visual effects.

Threads of Destiny is a fan-made feature film based in the Star Wars Universe. After a well developed script was conceived through various drafts by four different writers, filming began in 2005. The director, actors, and the rest of the shooting team all live in Sweden, so the whole film was filmed in Stockholm-- but all in English dialogue.

Right now people all around the world are still working on getting all the CGI done, and the film is expected to be released in 2012. In the meantime, we will post teasers, trailers, pictures, and videos from the production of the film on the web.

  • I hope that George Lucas knows about this. But it does sound so freakin awsome.

  • It sure looks good, and I admire the work you're putting into this, but I'm confused about how you seem to be mixing PT and OT stuff.

Also, I hope this film won't suffer from Prequel Syndrome - that is, great looks, crap story.

  • @MaikForte Jeez... Never thought that my previous comment is exactly 490 characters.

  • @BlazeFirePro I am not pretty sure... But if you take a close look at 4:36, you could probably see the mask the compositor just made... Based on the color and size of the masking, it is probably AE... Also, @ 5:15, he showed the workspace of his compositing software... Yes, it is indeed AE... Another thing, they should have modeled a lot of things as I can see in their environment... Probabilities are, the used one of these, Maya, 3Ds Max, Maxon Cinema 4D, Blender, Nuke or any other 3D software.

  • What program does he use?

  • WOW! This looks sooo epic. I can't wait to see the full thing. But I can already tell it's gonna be awesome. :D

  • Can't wait too.

  • if you guys need a hand with this I'd gladly help check out my channel

  • Oh my F*****g god! Imagin... draw all the frames in paint like that! Whata horrible nightmare! :O You gotta have a lot of patience for that!

  • I CAN'T WAIT!!!
