what a horrible label the george carlin of rock...........

@sidvidkid His instrumental works are usually my favorite too, but he was a clever lyricist, and his outspokenness is part of what made him so cool. This song is not at all my favorite by Zappa, but maybe he just had to crank out a lot of juvenile and simple shit in order to have the energy to create his masterpieces of "serious music".
It's all about balance.

@sidvidkid i agree. but there is still a lot of good music its just not as popular. john frusciante, cage the elephant, witchcraft, mgmt, the black keys. some great modern artists
check out my music too. its not zappa but i play for the same reasons

@sidvidkid This album is terrific and moves me, Zappa's compositions are well detailed, unique, and entertaining with interesting timbre. I'm baffled someone who has put so much thought into this and seems to care so much about art can really be so blind to the respectability of Frank's work. Also to compare them to people like Lady Gaga. It makes me think (or hope) that this is all a big joke. Oh well, I'll continue enjoying and appreciating him.

i always wondered if frank was embalmed to become the ultimate plastic person, i always hid this album from my parents when i bought it in 1968,,,, i thought i was cooler than other kids because i liked zappa, the way some kids act like simon cowell today, even though they can't play anything except a computer mouse ,lol

that s the kind of zappa s song i really love, fun, rock , withsound effect or talking stuff it s like a box full of different stuff that you can listen again n again n each time discover something diff, some intrument u didn t notice, some phrase you didn t notice ( i m french so i dont get everything on a first listenning)i love his humour also , very corrosif, criticism of a society that is far from perfect, zappa is a warrior fighting stupidity and hypocrite morality etc
@curiousnomad
When that came out, I was 15 years old, and a friend who had bought the record, dismissed it and gave it to me. Not having a lot of music in the house, bit by bit, I started listening to this. At first I thought it was funny, but not my cup of tea. Six month later, I got rid of my two Beatles albums, and never looked back...
