This tutorial will show you how to create user accounts in Windows Server 2003. In this tutorial I also cover how to configure home folders and profile paths. Also I show what happens when a user logs in for the first time.
!!! CORRECTION !!!
When configuring the profile path for a single user, it should have been entered with the username of the user at the end. Example: \\SERVER-1\USERPROFILES\fmirza

  • do users automatically get access to the database once create or is that given to them when you did all that in the profiles tab?

  • @johnnyramma After you create them they can login to a PC immediately. The other stuff is to make the profile Roaming.

  • Great tutorial,

How do you get the Profile path and Local path at 2:07? It said I have to create it or something first. But any folder I create would be in the C: drive.

  • @entehrend You have to create a folder and then share it...what I put in was the UNC path to the shared folder on the server so that other computers can access it.

  • You should mention how to add users to an OU, rather than directly in there. That way you can assign the OU group policies.

  • @dontwalkhand That is another video but thank you for your input. =)

  • I just wish i didn't have to use AD.Have had enough of studying it at tech =|

  • @mullinsJ08 My server project was fun, and it is cool to have a school-type network in your own home. If this is something one desires to learn, what does it hurt? I am sure I don't need a server either.

  • @TheToby505 If you are not sure then you probably don't need a server. They are very complicated at times and require a lot of work to get working.

  • can you tell me what i will need to set up a server please because im not sure what i will need or anything
