Natsu e no tobira is another beautifull but sad story created by Keiko Takemiya (Kaze to ki no uta's creator) and one of the classic shoujo's.
Personaly I love this OVA, its not good as Kaze to ki no uta, the art isn't best in the OVA(gosh, the manga is only art!) but story really is wonderfull. The only part I didn't like that much, when Sara, who is much older than Marion, manipulated 14 years old boy to have sex with her. But it was important part of the story.
This AMV contains one clip, where you can somewhat see that part where Sara and Marion are making love.

Thanks for posting this! A long time ago, when I searched on Youtube there were no videos for this, but I finally got to see the raw version. I didn't like the scene with Sara and Marion, but as a character she was beautiful and elegant.

I lvoe this OAV--it's true the art isn't as good as the manga (or the later Kaze OAV) but it does tell the complete story much better, being a shorter manga. I always see it as a sorta bridge between Moto Hagio's wonderful Heart of Thomas (which needs to be animated) and Kaze--all with such similar settings and characters

I love this ova, but i felt like even though it's a little better preserved than kazeki, the animators were kinda lazy...i've been watching this in italian subs and reading the manga to try and understand it. n_n i really like the story, and this video was kinda helpful. thanks for uploading!

I love the anime and manga version but i prefer Kaze ko no uta, That was much longer more detailed and has a much stronger ending
