Auzentech X-Raider 7.1 PCI Sound Card Unboxing

Just picked it up the other day, I love it for games and movies and it is brilliant and easy to install. I do not mean what I say at the end.

quick question, i have a C media sabrenet PCI sound card and im an wondering if it will be better than on board audio. i have an option between this PCI sound card or the on board audio (ALC888 chip).

@PCTechTalks a dedicated sound card in most cases will be better than the motherboard's onboard sound, but recent motherboards are getting better with their on board sound. I would go with a dedicated sound card if you are running a 5.1 system, anything less, stick with the motherboards sound

would you say it makes sense to buy this soundcard if I just listen to music with headphones? (Sennheiser HD 408)

@pray06 not really, I would recommend this for a 5.1 or 7.1 setup.

I would say so, its great for movies and games, as well as tunes. Company of Heroes has never sounded better on here!
