  • @sbearsinger Wow that's really cool! Thanks!

  • @crankspider101 it has layers of cells under its skin the top layer is pigment and the bottom layer is reflective.

    hope this helps :)

  • That was so cool! Does anyone know how it is able to change its appearance so quickly? I have a limited understanding of this iridescence stuff

  • @WingZeroAlpha It's tries to mimic the reef below it, it's doing a great job too.

They're adapting after the background they're on, like a cameleon.

Cuttlefishes are like the "ninjas" of the sea

Now you see me now you don't :D

  • I wonder if it was trying to mimic a sea slug in that color change. Certainly had the texture, and the two raised tenatacles looked like antannae if you don't look close enough.

  • So pretty! 38)

  • I think when they raise the two tentacles thats what they do before feeding.

  • y did he change colors/

  • Whoa! That was a quick change, it must have seen something it didn't like. From the way it raised it's feelers it looked like it was being aggressive. Was it?

  • =) cute..
