If you thought the Trap Bar was only for shrugs and deads you're wrong... Watch as we put the trap bar to work inventing The "Halo" press, squat press and lunge with a press.

  • really not a good idea..how do you put the bar down...either drop it in front of you or risk shoulder trying to put the down slowly..

  • this is retarded. If you want to do lunges/military presses/push presses or whatever else, dumbbells and barbells are more than capable to get the job done.

The point of a trap bar is so that when doing deadlifts or shrugs it doesn't hit your shins or thighs, not to look cool doing stupid exercises that should be done properly with a barbell or dumbbell.

  • it's harder to get over your head than say a bar, so I usually just rack it and get under it.

  • How do you get the bar above your head, it seems like it would be hard to lift it off the floor. I have one but never tried anything but deads

  • you are lame

  • it is a good idea, there is also a company out there that makes a thinner, longer, version of the trap bar to do neutral grip presses, curls, extensions, rows, etc.

  • That is a damn good idea.

  • That is a damn good idea.

  • damn...who's that dark guy at the end of the video? he's super hot and super strong!
