@JustAnOrdinarySimmer No it is not possible. It would be easier to create a new simulator than to incorporate Outerra into FS :)

@JohnyE007 No we are not working on a full feature flight sim now. But we will be incorporating some flight sim functionality (including a fully functional virtual cockpit without navigation stuff) as a bonus content into our game project to demonstrate the potential.

Honestly this would be PERFECT for google maps! Imagine virtually driving the route you plan to take, before doing it in real life! :P

The flight sim world desperately need an engine like this. I hope to god one day that some group can add in a aircraft simulation module. A big task though to create every listed airport in the world and the navagation/radio/gps databases would take a mamoth effort to create.

@zackhanscom thats a pretty blunt statement, you gotta remember how much there is that is possible within the arma world... first person and third person on both vehicles and personel, fully functional aircraft, armored vehicles, infantry, hundreds of weapons, all incorperated to work together in the engine. Dont get me wrong this engine has potential, but arma has proven well already./

You should make this engine for a FPS like ARMA II. Do you know how amazing that would be? Imagine fighting battles at different parts of the world at different times. FREAKING AWESOME
