  • thank you ! ;) maybe , I think it might be good for compress a bassdrums or percussiv sound : to add a little of "pump "or not ( with anti log) with preserving the attack. Do you have another compressor which could make a bassdrums more loud with clean attack ( 1176 ? ) ( I Know EQing is very important too)

  • @seanturcofr hi! i do not compress a single kick drum to get it louder. layering kick elements (click, mid, sub) is much better for creating your own kick and you can choose the level of volume AND you do not need an EQ! ;) sometimes i use the uad maximizer with a little bit of saturation and/or a L2 on the kick buss to glue everything together.

1176 is really nice for percussion and hihat/clap compression too...

  • very incredible sound .

I just watch this video now. For What thing you used the mpressor: buss comp , or just for a creative and artistic sound ( perc ? )

    thanks for sharing. Sean turco.

  • @seanturcofr hey Sean! i like the mpressor for doing creative things on the channel, not on the master buss. the mpressor is also really nice for sidechain ducking/compression, because the attack is REALLY fast! ;)

  • wooow

whats the name of this wonderful masterpiece?

  • @pasinetor hey! it's "Broombeck - Q&A", released on Terminal M records and it' s already available as vinyl and digital release! ;)

  • usually i try to make kick layering too. ( with low end , med and transcient)

    thanks for the advice.

  • @powdermonkeydan there s no need to do a track without logic ;)

and thanks for your words! :)

  • Good work! I'd buy that :) Just bought myself Maschine too - still trying to arrange a track without using Logic at the mo, but getting a bit stuck...anyways, great stuff :)

  • ;) it was a long and hard work... :)
