Beautiful. I come back to this video quite a bit. Ferruccio is to bass what Pavarotti is to tenor

And the winners are...
Dawn Upshaw and Ferrruccio Furlanetto...
Best Duet: "Cinque, dieci, venti, trenta"

Sorry, it won't let me post the link. Not sure why....

Dear lady Scordeteyla,
No need to apologize and thanks for taking the time to respond. Anyway, further arguing about the quality of that specific performance is pointless. Rather’ I would suggest listening to another gem from the same Mozart masterpiece.
Enjoy and all the Best

@jfbecks17 Bla Bla Bla Bla, go away.
-
but of course, I'm sure your refined ear is why there are multitudes of videos online of you singing/playing an instrument/ conducting/ doing anything related to classical music.
-
I'm just saying, for someone that professes to be so cultured and have standards, you certainly have poor writing skills. If you think you can do it better perhaps you should put up a video of yourself performing it. You can play male servant. Smell the stench of what? Again you make less and less sense with each post. I'll be sure to tell them you didn't like the production when I'm at the met today.

@jfbecks17 Oh thank you Lord Shakespeare, again Your Musically Dumber than Dumb Lordship! LOL
You must have had a peculiar childhood in primary school, right? Listen Bach!, we are talking about how low your musical standards are that you enjoy this inferior crap which is an insult to Mozart's music. So don't change the subject, nice try mediocre one.
A professional what? made me laugh hard, I can almost smell the stench. LOL
Mediocrities of the world unite, here's your patron father!

Not only the spelling, but the grammar was poor in your last post as well. I suppose my inferior musical intelligence is why I am a professional classical musician. :( what did you do for a living again?
lady ^^ sounds like a title; but like i said i didn't mean to argue

Gentlemen (or is it ladies?). I do not have a refined ear for classical music, nor any formal education in this field. Also my English is less good then I would like, but I find this piece performed really nicely. What I fail to understand is why two, seemingly intelligent people sink so low as to go into this duel. @yaront47 are you talking to me? i am a lady :)
i had been careful not to talk too rudely to PiroozAzDirooz (as i often did in earlier times) and if i did after all i do apologise. i tried to state my opinion that i liked the way the two of them performed and sung and may have adopted the wrong tone, i don't know...
- kindest regards

Mozart to the maid singing: "too fast..."
The male servant is a bad shot with the sheet in the corner, and clumsy in his movements and coordination with the music.
I have heard and seen much better performances musically and theatrically of MoF.

@PiroozAzDirooz i find your post strange to say the least;
it's rather outlandish to say "the maid" and "the male servant" as you ought to know their names and it's called "Le nozze di Figaro" not "Marriage of Figaro" if you consider yourself so much of an expert.
as for the singing and the performances: both of both singers are impeccable in my opinion, and i suppose, if you have seen others you like better, they ought to have been no more than that and not "much better" anyway
