@s88thebus2 Even if there was a parts problem, it was a historic bus. They still could of kept it. Had parts specially made for it.

So i just bought a 1980 rts with 756 miles on it. for 500 bucks. GOD I LOVE EBAY. so it was disassembled a bit when i bought her. my rear remote start system has been on hooked. i think i got it back together for the most part. Is there any way you could send me photos of your rear remote start system so i can get a idea of what shes missing.

SEPTA GMC RTS is still a museum bus, the bus got scrapped was the Volvo Artic NOT GMC RTS, I thought they both got scrapped, but after seeing pictures and videos of this year's SEPTA rodeo GMC RTS is still there. To make up the lost of Volvo artic that got scrapped, they put DE41LF or Neoplan artic on the rodeo.
I last seen this bus 3 years ago on the streets but it wasn't in service it must have been heading back to its garage. I rode in one of these buses as a kid along with the Volvo B-10M Articulated the survior of the fleet is currently at Midvale do you have a video of this bus I speak of or no?

Most of SEPTA's RTS buses originally had 6V-71's in them but after their mid-life overhaul they were repowered with 6V-92's. The 20 that were assigned to the Red Arrow side had 6V-92's in them from the beginning. The 92's gave them A LOT more pep.
