  • This is really really great and i used it as reference to learn it for a band cover myself, one thing i picked up by ear i think you missed, which isnt a massive deal, but its the wee ghost notes in the section after 2.15, hard to hear but im sure they're there. Not a crime for not puttin them in though, the cover is really good and was of huge help to me, thanks man!

  • @Red171 actually dude I know exactly what you mean. I only figured out they were there after the cover when I saw a vid of brann playing it live, and saw to my horror. Ghost notes EVERYWHERE! :( Its all good tho, I kinda dig playing it really open. Thanks btw.

  • Wouldn't happen to have the notation for this, would you? Or is that a by ear jobby? Well played btw.

  • @MANTISprog ear jobby, and thanks

  • Is that a Jazz kit with an extra tom in front of the snare or a rock kit? The smaller tom doesn't move with the bigger one.

  • Awesome job

  • WHAT!!!! NO TOP COMMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @GrooveThumper - Hey, buddy. I've been meaning to say thanks for this video for a while. Gave me a idea of what Brann was playing. Ended up covering it with the band. There's a video on our channel. - Rich, Mantis.

  • @GrooveThumper That, for me, is the hardest part of Mastodon covers. There are ghost notes everywhere in Brann's playing. Some of them are so minor that they are easy to miss, but they're there. But definitely a good cover. This actually really helped me learn the song a lot =p I had a difficult time finding drum cams that focused mainly on Brann and sometimes it was hard to hear the drums on the track, but this really helped me figure a lot of the riffs out.

    Good cover, keep rockin'
